NTE Guide

NTE Gacha Guide — Scarborough Fair

Scarborough Fair is Neverness to Everness's board-game-style gacha system. You roll dice to move a piece across a Monopoly-style board — landing on tiles that determine your rewards. The biggest difference from other gacha games: there is NO 50/50 system. When you pull an S-Rank on a limited banner, you always get the featured character.

Pity Carries Over

Base Rate: 1.0% S-Rank per roll on character banners (overall probability including pity: ~1.88%).

Board Modification at 70 (Soft Pity): The board physically transforms. All Apprentice Chests upgrade to Hero Chests, Hero Chests become guaranteed character tiles, and S-Rank tiles appear every 5-6 spaces. The S-Rank rate jumps from 1.0% to 19.5%.

Hard Pity at 90: If you reach 90 pulls without an S-Rank, you are guaranteed one. On limited banners, this is always the featured character — there is no 50/50 system.

Pity Carries Over: Your pull count transfers between all limited banners. If you did 65 pulls on Nanally's banner without an S-Rank, you start at 65/90 on Hotori's banner.

10-Pull Guarantee: Every 10 pulls guarantees at least one A-Rank item (character or Arc).

Pity by Banner Type

Banner Type Soft Pity Hard Pity 50/50? Pity Carries Over
Limited Character 70 pulls (19.5% rate) 90 pulls No — 100% featured Yes
Standard 70 pulls (19.5% rate) 90 pulls N/A N/A (permanent)
Weapon (Arc) 60 pulls (any S-Arc) No — featured at 80 Yes

Weapon Banner — Arc Research Program

The weapon banner uses Tri-Keys instead of Dice. Only 10-pulls are supported (no single pulls). 10 Tri-Keys = 1 ten-pull.

S-Rank Arc guarantee: Within 60 pulls (6 ten-pulls). Featured S-Rank Arc guarantee: Within 80 pulls (8 ten-pulls). No 50/50 for weapons either.

Direct Purchase: You can buy one S-Rank Arc directly for 25 Tri-Keys from the Arc Shop. This is extremely useful for picking up a specific weapon without relying on luck.

Max cost for featured Arc: 12,800 Annulith (80 pulls) — significantly cheaper than most other gacha games.

Pity carries over between all Arc Research Program rotations.

Tips for Free-to-Play Players

No 50/50 — Pull With Confidence

NTE has NO 50/50 system. When you pull an S-Rank on the limited banner, it is 100% the featured character. Budget for 90 pulls max, not 180.

Save Solid Dice for Limited Banners

Standard banner (Fabricated Dice) gives free pulls over time. Spend premium Solid Dice only on limited banners with characters you want.

Use the Standard Selector at 50 Pulls

After 50 pulls on the standard banner, you unlock a free S-Rank selector from the 6 standard pool characters. The selector never expires — pick wisely.

Standard Banner Has a 20% Discount

Your first 50 pulls on the standard banner cost only 8 Fabricated Dice per 10-pull instead of 10. Take advantage of this early discount.

Weapon Banner Is Generous

Featured S-Rank Arc guaranteed at 80 pulls max. You can also buy one S-Rank Arc directly for 25 Tri-Keys from the shop. Much more F2P-friendly than most games.

Track Your Pity Count

Pity carries over between limited banners of the same type but resets when you pull an S-Rank. At 70 pulls, the board physically changes — all chests upgrade, S-Rank tiles appear every 5-6 spaces.

Monthly Card Is Best Value

The $4.99 Mining Permit gives 3,000 Annulith over 30 days (≈18.75 pulls). If you plan to spend any money, this is the most efficient option.

Do Not Pull Weapons Early

Weapon banner is a luxury. Focus on characters first — 14 of 23 S-Rank weapons are free from quests and commissions. A strong roster beats signature weapons.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a 50/50 system in NTE?
No! NTE does not have a 50/50 system. When you get an S-Rank pull, it is always the featured character on limited banners. This makes NTE one of the most generous gacha systems available.
How many pulls to guarantee an S-Rank?
Soft pity starts at 70 pulls (19.5% chance per pull). Hard pity is 90 pulls (100% guaranteed). Most players get their S-Rank between 70-80 pulls.
Do pity counters carry over between banners?
Yes! Your pity counter carries over between limited character banners. If you pulled 60 times on one banner and didn't get an S-Rank, you only need 30 more pulls on the next banner.
How much Annulith do I need for 90 pulls?
Each pull costs 160 Annulith. 90 pulls = 14,400 Annulith. Active F2P players can earn about 2,500 Annulith per month from dailies, events, and content.
Should I pull on the weapon banner?
Only if you already have the characters you want. Weapon banner has a 60-pull guarantee for any S-Rank Arc and 80-pull for the featured weapon. It's less efficient than character banners for new players.
